Somali Youth Civic Organization hosted a two day seminar on Civic Education and leadership. This was a life changing experience for our participants.
This training offers young people opportunities for adventure, self-discovery, cultural exchange, leadership-building, and service through various training events.

- Understand how to conduct a community assessment of needs and resources
- Understand the process and steps for creating an action plan, including setting SMART goals and benchmarks of success,
- Creating timelines, assigning responsibilities, and identifying and creating community partnership
- Understand the basics of negotiating public sector collective bargaining agreements.
